What’s a TripBee?

We like to call TripBee a Travel Research & Itinerary Planning (TRIP) platform. Basically, we create content, like articles and videos, to help you research and plan your travel more easily.

That’s great, but I meant who are you?

Oh, right! We’re Adelaide, Jim, Gary, Alex, and Leah. Nice to meet you!

Nice to meet you, too! So tell me what makes you the experts here?

Solid question! Beyond being avid and passionate travelers, each of us brings our own unique experience to the table. For example, Jim studied meteorology for a few years in school and has a nearly photographic memory for maps, so he’s great at providing context for different destinations. Adelaide is a polyglot (language geek) who has lived in 6 different countries and done a lot of project management, which all together makes her a pretty great at gathering details about cultures. Gary grew up in a trucking family, so he’s seen nearly every nook and cranny of the US. He’s also pretty new to flying, so he’s great at helping the team answer questions for travelers who are less familiar with things like getting a passport or dealing with airport security. Alex, on the other hand, travels internationally pretty regularly, so he’s great at keeping up with international updates and tips and tricks. He’s also a bit of a ghost hunter, so he knows where all the best haunted tours are. And our newest member, Leah is an amazing film maker, so she knows all about overpacking and traveling with stuff that’s expensive, fragile, and weirdly shaped. She’s also a bit of a beer connoisseur and foodie, so we get a lot of reports on her adventurous palate.

So then where did TripBee come from?

Adelaide and Jim came up with the idea years ago when they had just met. (They’re married now, but that’s another story.) Originally, they wanted to create a TV show for the Travel Channel that showed how to see uncommon spaces in common places. Think places in France that  aren’t Paris, or sites in Paris that aren’t  the Eiffel Tower. But over time, and after a lot of conversations with people who wanted to travel, they were starting to realize that there was a lot of information missing for people who maybe wanted to go to France, but didn’t know how to get a passport, or who went to Paris and missed out on a bunch of cool stuff because they didn’t know who to ask. So they started making content to answer some of these questions instead, and that’s how TripBee was born!

That sounds super cool! What if I have a question or an idea for something for you all to cover?

We dig that enthusiasm! Submit it on our Questions & Feedback  form above and we’ll answer it as quickly as possible.
